Location and Times: The Apostolic Church is located at 9 Brown Street in Mexico, Maine. Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00am and midweek service is on Thursdays at 6:30pm.

Parking: We have 3 handicap parking spaces posted right at the front of our main entrance. Parking spaces are not painted but we ask people to park in neat rows along the perimeter of the lot. There is additional parking at the rear of the church and the rear entrance is unlocked before Sunday morning service for easy access.

Accessibility: The Apostolic Church is handicap accessible from the front entrance. We have a working and certified elevator that goes to all levels. All bathrooms are handicap accessible. Churches are exempt from ADA requirements although we wish to be welcoming to everyone. Therefore, service animals are allowed, provided they are prearranged with church staff, a Service Animal Request Form has been filled out, and the owner and service animal are fully compliant with TAC’s Service Animal Policy.

What should I wear? Wear whatever you are comfortable in! We are a church full of variety! The temperature can vary quite a bit depending on outdoor temps, the number of people in the sanctuary, and the amount of energy we put into worship! You may need a sweater or a fan! We do try our best to hold temps around 70 degrees.

Greetings: As a guest, you will be welcomed at the front doors by our Greeters and Ushers. All Greeters and Ushers wear name tags so they are easily recognizable. You will be given a Welcome Packet and asked to fill out a Guest Connect Card. We would love to follow up with you after your visit and find out how you liked it and answer any questions you may have! Connect Cards can be handed to anyone wearing a name badge or dropped into the offering box.

Seating: We’re a lively church and the sanctuary is often bustling with activity before service begins. You are welcome to seat yourself anywhere you feel comfortable or you can request an Usher to find you a seat if you’re unsure. We have beautiful oak pews that are not padded, so feel free to bring a cushion if you require softer seating.

Sunday Service: If you’ve never been to a pentecostal church before, you’re in for a treat! We love to worship with singing and instruments, clapping and raising our hands. Our services usually begin with several songs and we like our music loud! We will have lyrics on the screen and welcome you to worship with us. Our attendees often stand to worship throughout our entire worship service, but it is never a requirement. Please, feel free to sit whenever you want.

We will receive an offering near the conclusion of our worship service. There are wooden recepticle boxes at the front of the sanctuary on the right and the left. It is our practice to bring our tithes and offerings to the front when the offering is called. Contribution envelopes are available at the entrance doors of the sanctuary as well as at each offering box. Giving may also be done online at tacmexico.com. Giving of our finance is just another way that we worship our Provider.

Children will be dismissed to their Children’s Church classes before the sermon starts. Teaching is often around 45 minutes long, but don’t hold us to it! We love the Word of God no matter how long the preaching goes! Bring your Bible if you have one or follow along with the scriptures on the overhead screen.

Children & Youth: Our Children’s ministry covers ages 3 to 12 and the Youth ministry is for ages 13-24. Classes are available every Sunday morning with the exception of the last Sunday of every month. Classes are divided into the following age groups, 1-4 years old, 5-8 years old, 9-12 years old, and 13-19 years old (Teen Class meets less frequent). Every classroom has at least 2 teachers in it at all times. Children may be picked up from classes only by parents and parent-approved persons. Our Child Protection Policy is available by request. We prioritize teaching our children the Word of God and helping them to build a personal relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, activities, and fun!

Nursery: We have a nursery room available with a changing table, rocking chairs, and play pen if your littles are getting fussy. Nursing mothers are always welcome to use this room. Our services are playing in real time on a television mounted in the nursery.

Jubilee: If you happen to visit us on a Jubilee Sunday (usually on 5th Sundays), we will probably be having a potluck dinner following the service in our fellowship hall. We would love for you to stay and eat with us!

Midweek Service: Our midweek services are focused much more on spiritual development and discipleship classes. Sometimes there are multiple classes being taught at the same time! Get ready to deep dive into the Word with us!
